Biointensive Agriculture in Latin America:
Resources and Information

Ecología y Población, (ECOPOL), Ecology Action’s nonprofit affiliate in Mexico, and Central and Latin America. ECOPOL teaches families to raise food Biointensively. An estimated 2 million Biointensive gardens have been initiated in all of Mexico’s 32 states. Find out more about ECOPOL here.


Fundación ADYS, in Ecuador, is another one of Ecology Action's non-profit affiliate. This organization has organized 5,000 Quechuas, Chachis, Aiwas, Montubios and Eperas families. Her project has numerous demonstration centers, and ADYS has directly and indirectly over 90,000 people in Biointensive. Find out more about ECOPOL here.


Las Cañadas is a former cattle ranch-turned GROW BIOINTENSIVE demonstration garden and eco-tourism destination in Veracruz State, Mexico, Las Cañadas is managed by a Ecology Action alumni Ricardo and Karla Arroyo.. Find out more about Las Cañadas here.
